1 green apple, halved, cored and sliced crosswise in 1/2-inch thick slices
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
12 ounces Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Ground Sausage
1/4 cup fresh sage, chopped
4 english muffins, split
4 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced


Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F. Place apple slices on rimmed baking sheet; in small bowl, combine butter and maple syrup and drizzle over apples.

Step 2
Roast apples 5 minutes; flip slices and roast 5 more minutes, or until apples are golden and tender.

Step 3
Crumble sausage into a mixing bowl; add sage and mix to combine. Form mixture into 4 patties.

Step 4
Cook patties in lightly oiled medium non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until browned and fully cooked, about 3 minutes per side.

Step 5
Toast english muffins and keep warm. Arrange apples on each bottom english muffin half; top with hot sausage patty and a slice of cheese. Add muffin tops and close sandwich.
