4 slices Jones Dairy Farm Dry Aged Thick Cut Bacon, cut into 1" strips
1 yellow onion, small, minced
6 garlic cloves, minced
28 ounces crushed tomatoes
Salt and black pepper to taste
6 basil leaves, chiffonade
Cooked Pasta


Step 1
Place bacon in a dutch oven and just cover with water. On medium heat boil water away and continue to cook until bacon is crisp.

Step 2

Add onion and garlic to dutch oven and sweat in bacon fat, approximately 5 minutes.

Step 3
Pour in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add basil and stir lightly.

Step 4
Serve on pasta of your choice and top with bacon.
