Jones sausage adds lots of bold flavor to this pasta recipe. Finished with parmesan and tarragon, this dinner idea hits all the right notes.
This recipe is made with
12 ounces Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Ground Sausage 1 large onion, finely diced 16 ounces chicken stock 16 ounces linguine 1 lemon, juiced Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, tarragon, parsley to taste (optional)
Step 1 Heat large pan on medium-high heat. Add very little oil - this keeps from burning the sausage. Add sausage and break into small pieces. Cook for two minutes. Step 2 Add onion and reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook until onions are tender and sausage is cooked through, stirring often. Add chicken stock and simmer for about 15 minutes to flavor the stock with sausage and onions. Step 3 As sauce is cooking, cook pasta in well-salted water. When pasta is finished according to directions on package, strain and add directly to sauce. Cook pasta in sauce on medium heat for about 2 minutes. This will allow the pasta's starch to thicken the sauce. Step 4 Remove pasta from heat. Toss in remaining ingredients if desired to your personal taste.
