Made with savory pork sausage instead of beef, this stroganoff recipe is a comforting option your guests will love.
This recipe is made with
36 ounces Jones Dairy Farm Sausage Links 4 ounces onion, finely chopped 1/3 cup flour 32 ounces chicken broth 6 ounces sour cream 3 tablespoons mustard 72 ounces cooked noodles Poppy seeds, optional
Step 1 Cook sausage in large skillet according to package directions. Remove and keep warm. Drain all but 1/4 cup fat from skillet. Step 2 Add onions to skillet. Sauté on medium-high heat about 3 minutes or until tender. Remove skillet from heat. Step 3 Stir in flour. Gradually stir in chicken broth. Return to heat. Bring to boil on medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Boil and stir 1 minute or until thickened. Step 4 Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in sour cream and mustard. Heat through, but do not let mixture boil. Step 5 Portion noodles evenly onto serving plates. Top with equal amounts of cooked sausage links. Cover with sauce and sprinkle with poppy seeds, if desired.
